Corendon Airlines and Petrol Ofisi Group entered into a new cooperation in line with their 2050 net zero targets. Within the scope of the agreement, Corendon Airlines broke new ground at Fraport TAV Antalya Airport and started to use SAF fuel supplied by Petrol Ofisi Group.
Corendon Airlines, which operates direct flights to dozens of popular holiday destinations such as Turkey, Spain, Greece and many countries in Europe, has started to organize environmentally friendly flights using Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) to be supplied by Petrol Ofisi Group in order to reduce the effects of carbon emissions on climate change and environmental pollution. In line with the cooperation with Petrol Ofisi Group, Corendon Airlines aims to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by using SAF fuel and takes initiative to minimize the environmental impact of the aviation industry.
Corendon Airlines flies with respect for nature
Compared to fossil fuels, SAF fuel, which ensures its life cycle by producing less carbon emissions, serves as a tool to fight against global warming in the aviation industry. Aiming to regularly use SAF fuel on its flights, Corendon Airlines demonstrates a respectful approach to nature and cares about global goals for sustainable development. Continuing its efforts as an environmentally conscious brand, Corendon Airlines aims to increase its pure fuel use by at least 2 times next year and 10 times in five years and to become one of the few airlines that support IATA Fly Net Zero 2050. Corendon Airlines is preparing to launch the application, which started at Fraport TAV Antalya Airport, at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport next year.
